Monica Bullen Lic. Ac. studied at the College of Integrative Acupuncture in Galway, Ireland and was awarded her Licence to practice Acupuncture in 1999. Following the Traditional Chinese Medical (TCM) approach, Monica uses the Five Element and the Eight Principle theories to diagnose and treat illness and practices acupuncture, cupping, and moxibustion.
Monica is also a qualified Reflexology therapist and gained her qualification at the Blarney Reflexology Centre for Health.
Continuing professional development in Acupuncture is an important part of Monica's work and she regularly undertakes courses that deepen and broaden her acupuncture skills.
TCM focuses on physical problems and the 5 Element style focuses more on the emotions, as well as treating constitutional weaknesses. Together, an integration of the two styles is effective in addressing physical, mental and emotional issues in a holistic approach.
Monica is a member of the Acupuncture Foundation Professional Association (AFPA) www.afpa.ie is bound by the code of ethics, and is fully insured to practice in both the UK and Ireland.
